It was a shame that it was far too hot, especially in the rooms, with no way to ventilate, and the listing should have clarified the type of coffee maker because I had no coffee in the morning.
“Hors du commun, agréable, tranquille, à refaire sans hésitations”
The place was quiet, had a playful vibe, and my small dog was accepted. The only downside was that the accommodation couldn’t be closed, and there was no bag of pellets to keep the heating running through the night.
There was nothing good to say, and it’s truly disappointing to see such an unusual venue left in this condition without care… I was very let down by the sheer amount of carelessness in a place that hosts the public. We left early the first night, found another accommodation to finish our weekend, because the place was truly unwelcoming, dirty, and old. The reception was rushed, which explained why… the setting of the barge was uninviting, the barge was not maintained at all, neither inside nor outside. Paint was flaking, rust, diesel smell from an open jerrycan in the room, tools lying around including a cutter, broken furniture, a patched-up pool table with Scotch tape and cardboard, dirty steps and floors, interior windows with dust and spider webs, unclean bathrooms, crumbs in the sheets of the master bedroom, no dish soap, no towel, a microwave that no longer opens so it’s unusable. A hard baguette left in the oven with crumbs, a truly dirty freezer with mold, a dirty bathroom especially the bathtub with ants in the bathroom (that can happen, but traps or insecticide should be provided). It can be simple but welcoming and, most importantly, clean!
“Endroit cosy et paisible”
It was quiet and peaceful, in a secluded spot, the pool table was enjoyable, I didn’t have time to try the massage table. Nothing to complain about, maybe a dish soap sponge and a towel should be provided.
