The spot couldn't be better – right in the middle of lots of cafés, squares and shops, and the shared kitchen makes it easy to brew a coffee or fix a quick breakfast. My room was nicely decorated, fairly big, and surprisingly quiet for a historic building with other guests around.

Location was spot on and the room was clean, plus having a private parking spot in the supermarket next door was handy. The place is a bit of a workout though – you have to climb a lot of stairs, and there’s no TV in the room. The roof‑level windows let in a lot of light but also make it feel a bit odd.

The apartment feels spacious, with a nice ground‑floor layout and a garden you can actually get to – a real plus in the city, especially when it’s scorching outside. The staff weren’t to blame, but I visited Brussels during an intense heat wave and the fan was only a small relief; the place stayed warm. I’d skip installing air‑conditioning – it’s rarely needed and not great for the climate.

Overall the place was okay, but the kitchen left a lot to be desired – there are no stovetops at all, so you can’t really cook anything.

The location itself is fine, but the room is a fourth‑floor attic and when we walked in the air felt almost unbreathable – temperatures were over 40 °C. The tiny air‑conditioner was off, even though the city had been sweltering for days, so I don’t think the room is fit for renting in this kind of heat.
