The silence, the space, the kitchen, the stairs to the rooms, the peace of the place, and hearing only birds and horses from the room were all wonderful. On my balcony there were starlings with their nest, and every morning I greeted them. They came and went happily, and it always lifted my spirits whenever I stepped onto the balcony. The only downside was having to use the downstairs bathroom when you opt for the larger suite, which is the only one without its own bath. The room light was also scarce; I missed a night lamp on each side of the headboard. The staff tried to help by bringing a lamp from another room, then promised an extension that never arrived, and I didn’t ask again. It was fine for me, but perhaps for someone else the light is too dim, especially the ceiling light that doesn’t illuminate much. I’ll mention that the balcony light in the large room doesn’t work either. I hope they fix it. Despite that, I would return.
