“Okay for a couple stay but not family”

The location was quiet, yet there were hundreds of spiders everywhere, even in the bath area—common for a farm but scary and they should have been removed before guests arrived. We were short on time and didn’t want to bother the very nice host. The tap had no mixer, so the water was either too cold or too hot, and the bathroom sink leaked on the left side. The dishwasher didn’t work. The washroom was down the stairs, which was tough with a toddler and carrying luggage. There was no cooktop/stove, but we knew about that beforehand.

“Beautiful room and location”

A warm, friendly welcome and a lovely room, plus a fantastic location with easy access to Oxford set in beautiful countryside; scenic local walks are available (guides on the Weston on the Green parish council website) and the milk shed café nearby serves fabulous food.

Kathleen & Louie were friendly and very helpful hosts; we had a puncture in the morning, Kathleen dropped one of our party off at the train while Louie arranged the repair. The apartment was well‑equipped, the area charming, and the hosts supplied plenty of local eats and coffee info. A mirror near a power point for the hairdryer would be useful, since there’s no outlet in the bathroom, and an outdoor seating area would be nice.

“Unusual, quiet stay with large comfortable sofas, very tasteful decor.”

The place sits on a quiet lane, close enough to the village that you can walk to the pubs, though the road itself is busy; there is a pavement. Kathleen was out but answered my questions with helpful, friendly replies. There’s no breakfast, but a small kitchen lets you heat up food and stuff.

The conversion is stunning and the location is beautiful. The Wi‑Fi had a little hiccup, but it was fixed quickly.
