The room had a beautiful mountain view, but not every room gets that view because some are below the first floor and blocked by trees. The pillow was too hard and high, making it hard to sleep, and there were ants in the room.

The spot was amazing and the view from our room was stunning, but we had to cut our stay short because of a medical emergency back home and missed out on any sightseeing or walks around the country site. The wooden furniture in the room was uncomfortable, the staff seemed indifferent and not very accommodating, we felt the lack of warmth and hospitality, and the breakfast could have been better.

The views and surroundings were absolutely gorgeous, the room was lovely and comfortable, and the pool and bar area were also beautiful. However, the “The View” rooms are a long walk away, with many stairs and some steep sections. The room booklet advertised room service, but we were told it wasn’t available, and there was no fridge in the room, so we had to walk back and forth for food and drinks. During heavy rain, water also seeped under the front door.

We stayed at Pu Luong Retreat from 21 to 25 September. The setting is beautiful and the room we booked was very pleasant. Unfortunately, the organization and professionalism of the hotel were far below the price paid. When we arrived, our suite wasn’t ready and we had to spend the first night in a tent. The next day, although our suite was supposed to be ready for the rest of the stay, staff tried to put us in a lower‑priced room that was clearly not what we had booked and paid for. Only after we refused did they finally give us the correct room. This approach was disappointing and opaque. The first room’s cleanliness was also lacking, and the breakfast was quite disappointing for a hotel of this level. At checkout, they offered a 200 000 VND discount in exchange for a 5‑star review, which we found very surprising and further highlighted the lack of professionalism. In short: a gorgeous place and a great room once we got the right one, but service, organization, and professionalism were clearly not worth the price. Too bad, because the hotel has huge potential.
