“Convenient and comfortable”

The room was comfortable with a good bed and bathroom, and the breakfast was nicely cooked, which was a relief after the RAC let us down; the staff were friendly. However, traffic noise was an issue, and the continental breakfast did not match the description—no croissants, fresh fruit, or natural yogurt, and the coffee was poor.

“Pleasant quiet location ideal if visiting both N & S coasts”

The food was great, the bed comfy, and the grounds were wide enough for my dog to run around. When we brought our well‑behaved dog, we were forced to sit in a separate room at the restaurant, and the only other person there made the experience feel lonely. The bedroom and wardrobe in the annex felt cramped for two people. Finding the entrance gate was tough in the dark because the main road is twisty and busy; a light or reflective strips on the gate would help a lot.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The value for money was superb, and it was a pleasant surprise that half board included the à‑la‑carte menu. We also loved the artwork. Thank you.

“You get what you pay for”

The location is convenient and the price is budget‑friendly, plus there’s plenty of parking. The receptionist and the breakfast server were both very pleasant and helpful. The room was a converted cottage outside the main building, quite small, which was a challenge given our disability. Breakfast was hectic, with only one person cooking and serving; the beans were lukewarm and the hash browns barely cooked. The “orange juice” labeled “Jaffa Gold” was full of sweeteners.

The location is good. The property feels dated and needs a fresh makeover.
