At least the hot water kept flowing and the bathrooms were clean, but after we checked in we were shocked to find a mouse crawling down the hallway and only one heater working in two rooms. I definitely wouldn’t pick the name “Penzion”; it’s a classic boarding house.

The place was clean and peaceful, well‑vegetated and quiet. The shared kitchen was fairly well equipped, and the toilets and showers were clean, functional, and enough for the number of rooms. Wifi was perfect! There were shops and small restaurants nearby. We were the only ones in the room, so we could really enjoy the calm. If you’re stopping in the village of Rakvice, this is a great spot. The location is mainly suitable for car travellers, as it’s a 25‑minute walk from the train station. The beds are hard, not very comfortable, and the duvets are small, as is the room. Otherwise the accommodation matches the description and there were no unpleasant surprises.
