The décor was very pretty, but there was no microwave in the room and I couldn’t lower the temperature below 74 °F; after 7 p.m. the free water downstairs was removed, and the only bottled water available in the room cost $6 or $7.

The bed was super comfy, the bathroom was a good size, and I appreciated that the windows partially opened so fresh air could flow in continuously. I just googled it. I hated the little sign at the desk telling you not to pay attention to your phone, but pay attention to the city while you’re in Portland; it seemed very preachy, especially since much of the staff had their faces buried in their phones from the doorman to the desk to the house care, which I found kind of funny.
