“朝ごはんが素晴らしい!”
When I asked for a Sri Lankan breakfast, the host sister made about three servings of rice. It was a generous portion that I could finish from the start of the morning, and it tasted great. There’s a spot for hanging laundry outside, which dries quickly. The only downside is that the location is somewhat tucked away, making it hard to find.
“Muffiges Zimmer bei sehr netten Hosts”
The garden was beautiful, the setting quiet, and the breakfast was exceptionally good with a variety of traditional dishes and plenty of fruit. The staff were very friendly and there was air conditioning. The room, however, was musty and had visible mold on the walls. There were no mosquito nets, though the AC helped. The family was very welcoming, so we managed to overlook the issues for that one night.
I stumbled upon this place after reading a handful of glowing reviews, and I couldn't be happier. The host was incredibly friendly and quick to answer every question I had, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The room itself felt like a cozy sanctuary, and the breakfasts were hearty and delicious—every bite better than the last. I found myself reluctant to leave, as if I were staying with old friends. I’ll definitely book again and wholeheartedly recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a memorable stay. Thanks so much to the hosts for their warm hospitality and kindness. 🥰❤️
“Cálida familia en sitio tranquilo”
The family was wonderful and I would definitely stay with them again. It’s a simple spot for rest, and even though there was no mosquito net, they supplied incense that worked well, along with a violet light. They took great care of me, the place was quiet, I slept well, and breakfast was abundant and tasty. Getting there was fine, even though Google Maps places the house in the middle of the jungle; it’s signposted and paved. Nothing else to complain about—they managed to keep the mosquitoes from biting, which isn’t easy.
The staff were super kind and helpful, and breakfast was amazing—by far the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. The location was perfect, close to the UNESCO sites. The room, though, was moldy and not very clean.
