The breakfast was superb and the staff’s attention was spectacular; the water dispenser for mate was very handy. I booked massages and they were fantastic. However, the facilities felt outdated and poorly maintained, with a lot of mold in the bathroom, especially around the silicone seals on the shower, giving a dirty look. The paint from 1830 made the hallways look old. There were only two sockets in the room—one in the bathroom and another under a table—none near the lamp table. The spa had a large hot tub but no pool. The policy of handing out robes and returning them the same day was quite uncomfortable for guests. I booked through Booking, and after the quoted price they added VAT, which made it expensive and not worth staying at the hotel.
