The bar, dining room, etc. The dinners were homemade, tasty, and made with good ingredients. The family’s friendliness and warmth were appreciated, and the room was quiet. I miss fruit at breakfast; I’m sure they’ll offer some if you ask.

This was the final lodging for a three‑week motorbike tour of the Picos, and we had saved the best for last. It’s a historic house in a great spot, away from the bustle of Potes, which was too crowded for us. We had two amazing walking days from the doorstep up into the mountains behind the house, which we truly enjoyed. The owners were very kind and incredibly helpful. We dined at their restaurant all three evenings; having the menus translated into English was very useful, and they offered plenty of vegetarian options, which isn’t always the case at other places we stayed. I would highly recommend this house and hope to return with friends someday.
