The restrooms were always pretty clean, and the owner was a nice person who checked in with us to make sure everything was fine. It sits about a 10‑minute walk from Hamtramck, which isn’t close to downtown but has its own unique industrial and migration history that’s worth seeing if you’re into economic and social history. It’s near good cafés and restaurants. On the downside, the kitchen and living room weren’t very clean and had a bad smell, the room was tiny—too small—and also had a bad odor. Buses are nearby, but they took forever to get downtown (the North American public transport system is horrible!), so you’ll probably need to take an Uber or car.

The price is very low and it’s easy to get to downtown to catch professional sports teams (Tigers, Lions, Red Wings, or Pistons) by bus. Also, for both nights of my stay, I had the room to myself. Excellent service from Kane, the person who welcomed me.

I needed a place to stay for one night. I found one during the busy Movement Festival from Monday to Tuesday, so it was a bit pricey, but the single room with one bed was perfect. I’d come back.
