The room was clean, very simple and spartan, close to the centre and a few minutes from the beach, and there is a free laundry machine available. The staff don’t speak English. For the same price there are considerably better facilities elsewhere. The pillows are very uncomfortable. From the room you can hear any noise, even the neighbors’ sneezes; we were unlucky and other guests were shouting from room to room. The on‑site breakfast isn’t worth it; nearby bars serve far better and more varied breakfasts at the same price or a few euros more. Don’t ask the hotel to arrange transport – they’ll suggest impromptu drivers who charge the same as taxis, which is insane. Ask locals or nearby tour operators for real drivers at a lower price. Another thing we didn’t like was that they couldn’t give us any advice on what to see nearby. We booked wrong and added an extra night (we thought we could reach Praia early from Terrafal, but we had to leave at night). We asked the hotel to at least give us a discount for the last night and they said it was impossible, blaming Booking, while Booking told us the hotel could have done it and it wasn’t their fault. We had also paid for breakfast, but since we couldn’t use it they didn’t even offer us a take‑away breakfast for the trip. The staff were very unhelpful.

“Una estancia muy agradable en Tarrafal”

The accommodation’s location is unbeatable, very close to the beach and restaurants. The room is spacious, very clean, the bed is comfortable, and most importantly there is air conditioning – a real relief in August. I’d suggest adding a small drying rack on the balcony for swimsuits and wet towels and a small hairdryer for the ladies. Other than that, everything is great.

“Paisible”

The family suite sat right next to the beach, with a balcony overlooking the sea, comfortable and reasonably priced, and the reception was friendly; a 24‑hour desk made it easy to pick up the keys.

“Apartamento acolhedor”

Having blinds was a plus, everything was spotless, and the staff member was welcoming; the bathroom was tiny and the shower base let water leak onto the floor.
