There was no direct path to the beach, which is 100 m from the hotel; instead you have to walk roughly 2 km to reach the best part of the shore, and the rights to access the beach have been sold out.

The TipTop Hotel, Resto and Delishop in Panglao City features an outdoor pool, restaurant, and private parking. Mahogany wood furnishings, balconies, cable TVs, and minibars adorn its rooms and suites. The hotel offers Filipino cuisine, a mini-mart, laundry services, and airport shuttle. It's a 10-15 minute walk to Alona Beach and 1.4 km from Danao Beach, with Tagbilaran Airport 20 km away.

When I arrived, the reception was set up in a small hut and a very friendly and charming lady handled my check‑in. Because I was early, I had to wait for my room, and since there was no lounge, they let me sit in the restaurant where the only cooling was a fan. The hotel sits in a cul‑de‑sac, so you have to walk a fair distance to the ocean beach. The room itself met all expectations: spacious, clean, comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the courtyard pool. The air‑conditioning was quiet and cooled the room well, and there was a small fridge. The bathroom was also roomy and tidy, and I was especially pleased with the high‑quality branded towel I received. Unfortunately, to use the pool you have to leave the street and walk around the building, but the pool area is clean and surrounded by nice plants. Luckily, when I was there, there were no other guests, so I could relax without interruption. The internet was very weak, often dropping out; on the balcony it stopped working, and near the pool there was no signal at all. Overall, the price‑to‑value ratio is good, and I would recommend it to anyone for a few days. The only downsides were the bad wifi and the fact that it’s in a cul‑de‑sac far from the beach.

The place was very clean, we had the pool right next to us and the food at the restaurant was excellent! The only issue is that on Google Maps it looks like it’s very close to the beach (and it is physically), but you can’t actually access the beach from there because only the pricey hotels have direct access. The area is quiet, about a 15‑minute walk to the beach (you have to go all the way around). Alona itself has become too touristy and lost its essence. If we had to decide again where to stay, we would look for a less crowded town. On the bright side, you can get taken out to dive by boat from anywhere.

We really liked the room because it was very spacious for three people. The hotel overall offers many services, such as the restaurant that we loved.
