“Gerne wieder!”

The location is great as a base for Veneto trips (Verona 30 min, Sirmione 60 min) and cheaper than the usual tourist spots; Soave itself is lovely, quiet, and offers plenty of food, scenery, and history. Our room was spotless, modern, and the minibar had Cola, water, and nuts at no extra cost. The sound insulation was good, and the air‑conditioning cooled quickly. Staff were always friendly and helpful even though the reception isn’t staffed full‑time; Mauro responded fast via message/Booking App. Breakfast, in partnership with a pastry shop 100 m away, was delicious. We’ve stayed at Al Gambero before and will gladly return. No suggestions for improvement.

The view at the entrance of Soave’s walls is spectacular, and the hotel feels comfortable and modern in a medieval setting—highly recommended.
