My wife and I spent one night at Ugab while heading to Etosha, and I can’t recommend it enough. The camp feels really cool, and we were amazed by how many animals came close for food and water. We also joined a morning guided walk and got to walk right beside white rhinos, which was unforgettable.

A truly special place with excellent food that made our stay even more memorable. During our game drive we spotted giraffes, gnus, and antelopes, and the sunset spot was beautiful, where we were served drinks and snacks—an extraordinary experience. Both evenings we also saw rhinos; since they’re fed there, the experience is a bit different from Etosha National Park, where you might encounter them unexpectedly in the wild. Still, it was special to see these magnificent animals up close. In the evening on our terrace we enjoyed a private bonfire while watching the rhinos. Overall, an exceptional lodge with great service, superb food, and unique wildlife encounters. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return anytime.

The lodge is modern and comfortable, but it lacks that cozy at‑home feeling. The staff were friendly, as in all of Namibia, and the food was tasty. Rhinos are a plus, though in the wild they’re even more beautiful; you can take plenty of photos, but always near feeding troughs. The doors didn’t fit the rooms at all—they looked like shop doors, which spoiled the overall impression.

The room was large, tidy, and equipped with all comforts. The view of the animals’ enclosure, where they’re also fed, was stunning.

Great staff who care lovingly for the wildlife in the reserve. The bush walk and nature drive were led by very friendly, knowledgeable guides. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, prepared fresh in an open kitchen. Evening feeding of the rhinos at the lodge by the fire pit and observation terrace was a highlight. Everything came together for a flawless stay. There were no points of criticism.
