“Lovely hotel in the center of Bsmburgh”
The location is ideal, right in the center of Bamburgh, and the hotel has its own secure car park just a few hundred yards away. The staff are welcoming and approachable, especially the restaurant waiters. The hotel is dog‑friendly, which we needed. The main public areas are beautifully and tastefully decorated with lots of artwork and quirky lighting. It is expensive, but that’s the price for the location, and we felt it was worth it for a memorable stay in a beautiful part of Northumberland.
There is no lift, so my friend with mobility issues found it hard to reach the top floor; there is a ground‑floor room that’s wheelchair accessible with a disabled toilet, but we didn’t know about it and would have booked it otherwise. The rooms we got had lovely ensuite showers, but the bedrooms needed a facelift; the carpets were stained and the paintwork, especially the skirting boards, was scuffed, dirty, and chipped.
