I was pleased with the room I stayed in – it was just the right size and the bed was comfortable. The toilet worked fine. I appreciated the laundry facilities, the drying racks, and the light breakfast that included coffee and cereal the staff supplied. The instructions were clear and given early, even before I arrived. The only drawback was that the keypad and number lock were a little finicky, but the support staff were easy to reach via WhatsApp. Street noise and some dogs could be a bit loud, but it was manageable. If you have trouble climbing stairs, ask if they can arrange a lower‑level room.

Close to the center and the room is comfortable. The stair noise from inside the room is exaggerated, waking you up in the middle of the night if someone decides to go up or down.

The apartment was small but clean. The area around the apartment feels very shady. I would not recommend walking alone at night.

“Overall I enjoyed it very much.”

I booked the attic room and it was great – the skylights let me see both dawn and sunset, the place was spotless and cozy, and there was a small private nook with a comfy chair on the top landing. The kitchen was well-equipped and overall the property stayed clean. The host’s son was very helpful, carrying my luggage up the stairs and offering to do the same when I left. SPAR grocery is just down the street. The downside was the sheer number of stairs, especially if you choose the ‘room with a view’ that faces the rooftops; the narrow winding stairwell is a challenge, and the building sits on a steep road.
