The location and the friendly, involved, helpful staff were good. However, the room assigned to us was not renovated, even though we believed we had booked a renovated one; this was unclear from the Booking details.

“Hotel room disappointing - all staff were very nice and very helpful.”

All staff were very helpful and nice. The cloisters atmosphere was wonderful and peaceful; the central old‑town location was excellent. Breakfast was the usual continental, and the coffee was good. The room we received was not what the website showed: the listed rooms were renovated, larger, brighter, and more modern, but ours was very basic with a tiny shower, no TV (probably a blessing), and the only mirror was in the bathroom cabinet. We decided to complain, but when we reached reception another couple were already loudly venting about the same issue; we chose not to stress and carried on with our holiday, yet it was disappointing that for our brief 4‑night stay we didn’t get a nice room.

“Interessant einmal in einem Kloster zu sein”

The location is great and the monastery vibe is exciting, yet the way they’re using the space feels a bit careless. I’m not sure how much plastic fits with Franciscan creation theology, and the shower was very small.

The stay was perfect thanks to the staff’s professionalism; we’re grateful for their approach. Breakfast was modest but tasty, with options for both sweet and savory lovers. The hotel really has a vibe, and you truly feel like you’re in a monastery. The beds were also comfortable, which is rare.
