The library is on the porch and there are cottage‑style holiday houses on the estate. The location is intimate right on the lake, with a docking spot for a boat. The hotel has a beautiful pool, a well‑maintained garden, and a marina. There are plenty of quiet, secluded spots. The rooms with balconies come with hammocks. Parking is cheap and the service is truly wonderful. On the last day I was the only hotel guest, yet the staff still went above and beyond for me. Ms. Kasia at the bar deserves special praise for staying two days in a row beyond the bar’s opening hours to help forgetful guests. The staff are simply fantastic. The hotel is not within walking distance of the city, but that could be a big advantage. A car is necessary. The economy rooms are claustrophobic; upgrading to a higher class is worth it. The hotel’s standard is very average, but the surroundings, silence, and lake create the atmosphere. If you want modern interiors with a large TV, this isn’t it. Occasionally there are events; ask the staff if your stay might overlap with a midnight dance on the floor below.
