The location, staff, and cleanliness were great, but ongoing renovations caused major disturbances. The fitness room was unusable, the shower leaked into the main bathroom, and the shower head had missing spouts that threw off the water flow. We weren't told about the renovations or closures when we booked.

It felt very exclusive and quiet, but the building is old and the annex where our room was located is too far from the main part.

The hotel itself was nice, but the real star was the restaurant - the food and menu were top-notch. Unfortunately, we had a couple of issues with pests: there were flies buzzing around our room, which we had to call the front desk to get rid of, and then we found German roaches in the bathroom and on my bed. The restaurant had a similar problem with flies, which was really frustrating.

We were expecting a lot more from this place, but unfortunately, the pool was out of order, which was a major bummer since we were looking forward to relaxing by the water. It was pretty inconvenient, and we left feeling disappointed.

This hotel really exceeded our expectations - everything from the beautiful pool to the clean rooms and lovely grounds was just perfect. The staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to make our stay special. The quirky secret garden was a highlight, and the menu was great, even if some items were a bit hard to come by due to supply issues. One of our party members had a bit of an issue with their room smelling damp, but mine was spacious and lovely.
