“Wonderful”
Philippe and Isabelle were the friendliest and most helpful hosts I could ask for. The house and the little cottage where we stayed were lovingly restored with antique furniture in perfect taste. A large garden with an orchard and fragrant roses surrounds us. Our room was spacious with a small private terrace to sit outside. Breakfast offered plenty of choices, and Isabelle happily accommodated special cooked meal requests. We’d recommend La Piazza at Pountieux for dinner or lunch – reasonably priced and very off the beaten path. Paimpol has many options, but they’re more touristy; it’s best to avoid the restaurants overlooking the marina. The water pressure in our bathroom was very low, although it apparently isn’t an issue in the main house. The garden would improve if the scattered broken machinery were removed; Brad, the robot mower, now cuts the lawn!
