The park’s animals, especially the peacocks that roam freely, were great, yet we arrived in the dark and nobody was there to greet us, and we were missing instructions for accessing the property and our room.

The accommodation exactly matched what we wanted: a beautiful, well‑maintained farm with many animals, but the reception for check‑in is about 15 minutes away from the actual destination.

Only the friendly ladies working there made the stay a bit better, despite the old furniture, crockery, and breakfast appliances; the rooms were clean. The price is absurdly high for the poor quality—a room without air conditioning in Alentejo in August costing over €350 per night makes no sense. The furniture is ugly and outdated, a fridge sits at the room entrance with a fan on top, and there are three old, narrow double beds. Breakfast is weak. Several notices in the bathroom warn of extra charges for towel changes or misuse. Check‑in was done many kilometres away, where we only received a paper brochure, because the keys are handed out at the accommodation.
