The accommodation was really lovely, and staying in the old part gave us rooms with beautiful views. I was surprised to find no Nespresso or similar coffee maker in the room, and the T+C was a bit basic for a property of this level.

The location is great, with nice walks, and the heritage hotel has some questionable extensions. I didn’t realize it had become such a family‑destination spot—that’s my mistake. The restaurant food was fair, but the 11‑happy‑birthday celebration was excruciating. The noise was intolerable, and the bar was so full of kids and families that you could not find a table at times.

I love the spa and pool with the views—it’s so relaxing, and I also love the food at the Doolittle restaurant and bar.

The hotel is beautiful with the most fabulous view. Breakfast was excellent and overall service was great. João at the Reception was super welcoming and helpful, and the Maître D’ at the Restaurant went far and beyond to accommodate us comfortably. I’ll come back with the rest of the family soon ☺️
