I’m not looking for peace and quiet, but I still didn’t get the calm I expected. The guest house sits right inside a family home, so you’re surrounded by kitchens, laundry rooms, and the road next door, plus villagers who can be loud. Don’t forget the 5 am Muslim prayer and the constant shouting of the “visa” all day. That’s just Balinese life, but I needed to rest and sleep. The family is lovely, cooking dinner on request, which is truly special. The bungalow itself was clean, well‑equipped, and comfortable, but the surrounding environment was not pleasant at all. The main issue was the noise.
