“Very comfortable”

Very comfortable bed Clean room Hot shower Breakfast was okay Owner was very nice and let us borrow his umbrella and also arranged taxi for us Good WiFi Bottle of water in the room when we arrived. On checkout, paying for the accommodation (including breakfast) he also charged us a service charge for the breakfast. We have only booked accommodation including breakfast during our month in Sri Lanka and haven’t had this ANYWHERE. It wasn’t much, but we were leaving Sri Lanka after checking out and only had the amount of money we needed for payment of accommodation and taxi, the 1,500 service charge was going to be tip for our taxi man but sure then we had no cash for him. And he seemed to linger for a tip after dropping us. While I appreciate and seen in a lot of restaurants etc that service charge is a thing, when you’re paying already for breakfast in your accommodation price it feels weird to be then essentially made give a tip on checkout

“Very nice calm and peaceful place to stay”

I was impressed by the breakfast – the food was good and the service was good. I also liked the tea pot egg appam.

The host was very pleasant. Everything was clean and tidy, and for the first time on my trips through India and Sri Lanka in budget places I finally got a fully enclosed shower instead of a single open space 😄.

The apartment was decent. The location was quiet, and restaurants and shops were within walking distance. The breakfast was tasty (paid separately plus tips, like in a restaurant). The room only had a microwave; nothing else.

The villa was beautiful and the host charming, treating us to a very varied breakfast.
