Hacienda Riogordo turned out to be an absolute gem in Andalusia, scoring a perfect 10/10. The place is stunning, immaculately clean, and the pool area offers jaw‑dropping mountain views. Its setting is ideal—quiet, surrounded by nature, yet close enough to explore nearby historic sites and white villages. The real highlight was the hosts’ amazing hospitality; they were exceptionally warm, caring, and made us feel at home right from the start. We can’t recommend this spot enough!

The Hacienda is a lovely refuge. Harmke and Menno are very warm and welcoming, greeting us with open arms and even a welcome sign at the entrance—felt like arriving at friends’ homes. The property sits quietly on a hill, a bit away from traffic and above the village of Riogordo, where daily necessities are available. In the courtyard stand citrus and orange trees, overlooking olive groves, a valley, and the stark rocks of a grand mountain range. In the morning, stepping onto the terrace from the room puts you right by the pool with a massive mountain panorama—simply breathtaking. The room was tastefully and lovingly furnished, and we felt very comfortable from the moment we arrived. The service and the warmth of the hosts were also impressive; every request was promptly met by Harmke. Breakfast varied each morning, always featuring something from the oven—pastries, small cakes, or eggs cooked to order. Coffee, tea, and water were available all day. The Hacienda is one of those places we’ll fondly remember and would gladly return to.
