I really liked the location—it's central, close to the metro station, and near many coffee shops and the Dom Luís Bridge. The room was cozy and clean; it had a private toilet and shower, as well as a refrigerator. There were no covers on the duvets

I booked through Booking and was shown a photo of a pretty historic building, but the actual studio was in a narrow street inside a plain old building that had been refurbished. The apartment was in a very ordinary old building with no impressive look. The bathroom was quite small and you had to be careful not to hit the shelf while using the toilet. They advertised parking at a public lot for €20, but when I tried to book it was at least 35% more expensive. The room smelled bad, some of the building’s drains were not in good condition. In short, the €90+ I paid for one night was not worth it, especially when compared to a hotel room. The vacation‑rental speculation is flooding the market with thousands of places that would not have a hotel license if they were treated as such.

I appreciated the early check‑in, the location, the two toilets—one on each floor—and the balcony view. I had read everything before arriving, so I knew there was no elevator and wasn’t disappointed like others have said.
