However, the actual room setup differs from the description: the kettle is in the communal kitchen, which everyone can use, and the room itself offers very little—no water bottle and extra towels cost extra. Breakfast is limited to idli and a single type of chutney, with no drinks available. The private room is right next to the reception, so you’ll hear chatter late into the night; expect noise or bring earplugs.

I had a lovely stay at Xplorest! The hostel is beautiful and peaceful, featuring a gorgeous garden where you can relax while listening to the birds. Its location is ideal, close to the market, the palace, and shops. The hosts are very kind and welcoming. Highly recommended!

“The stay is good. There is a male staff who was supportive.”

The property has a heritage vibe. Unfortunately, the lady manager was extremely rude and tried to extort extra money for a late checkout that was only an hour late, with no other guest waiting.
