“A beautiful, relaxing resort with thoughtful luxury touches that made my solo stay feel special.”
I was impressed by the thoughtful touches all around the hotel. My Ocean View Junior Suite was gorgeous, and the Jacuzzi made the room feel extra luxurious. The bathroom featured double sinks and plenty of large soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion bottles, plus a toothbrush, toothpaste, makeup‑removal towel, shower cap, cotton swabs, and other toiletries. The robe and slippers were a lovely bonus that made the room even more comfortable. Housekeeping came twice a day, which I really appreciated. The whole resort smelled wonderful—from the lobby and front desk to the restaurants and bathrooms, every area had a fresh, lovely fragrance, even the tissue was scented. The resort offered several restaurants and bars, direct beach access, and plenty of comfortable seating. I also enjoyed the speakeasy and photo booth. One staff member even cut a longer straw in half so it would fit my cocktail glass, which was very thoughtful. All in all, the beautiful ocean view, convenient beach access, attentive housekeeping, well‑stocked bathroom, comfortable amenities, and small luxury touches made my stay feel special.
The daily activity schedule was hard to find. Activities were shown on a digital sign downstairs, but I would have preferred a printed itinerary in the room or a schedule available through the hotel app or a QR code. I missed activities, including a Spanish class I would have enjoyed, because I didn’t see the schedule until I already had other plans. The hibachi experience can also be difficult for solo travelers. The staff tried to help, but there weren’t enough other guests for a group seating, so the show would have been performed only for me. I decided not to stay. I also hoped to find chips with a creamy queso dip at the Mexican restaurant, but the queso was more like solid cheese, which may simply be a personal preference. Finally, straws were hard to find outside the bars. It would be helpful to have them available at the restaurants for guests who need or prefer them.
