View, breakfast, bathtub, location, and friendly staff. We stayed in the Jangadeiro chalet and the bathroom ceiling had a big spider web and several small spiders, plus termites near the bathroom tap and other spots. The outlets next to the bed keep failing.

I’m a frequent client of Booking. I always start my research by looking at the negative comments and then the most recent ones. There was nothing critical, so I booked. The location is great, close to the beach and the town center. The room has a comfortable bed and pillows, with good sound insulation. The shower is great and there’s a minibar. Breakfast is very good! The a la carte menu options are of excellent quality! The team is courteous, polite, and always ready to help.

The place is spot on, right by the beach and the décor feels very local; everyone greets you with a big smile and offers lots of spot suggestions. We ran into a small AC glitch, but they fixed it right away. Breakfast is tasty but pretty basic. Getting there is a bit tricky because Canoa has many narrow streets and the lodge sits in the native residents’ area, but it’s still doable.

The staff are very helpful, and the hotel’s facilities are quite nice. The hot tub is listed as a “room amenity,” yet it’s actually shared across the hotel; they should correct that description.

The inn had a beautiful view, felt very cozy, and even though it was simple the breakfast was excellent; everything we asked for was met, and in the morning there was a wonderful cashew juice. The downside was that there was no parking, and we found a frog near the room.
