The room was large and beautiful, and Huan was an amazing, caring host who took care of everything I asked for; the location was fantastic and I was assigned to room An. The only downside was that the shower and toilet are located outside, and breakfast follows a set menu, so it’s good to know that in advance.

The guest house itself felt like a dream, matching the photos exactly, as if plucked from a postcard. The accommodation was stylish, comfortable, and the effort put into the space was palpable. The property was lovely with great amenities. However, several problems marred the visit: the mountain view fell short of expectations, and the noise was a major issue—a baby and toddler cried nonstop next door, and a rooster crowed starting at 2 AM, making it impossible to relax. On top of that, there was an occasional manure smell in the bathroom. The food also disappointed; the black grilled chicken and fried spinach (listed as seasonal local vegetables) were particularly underwhelming.

The food was incredible, as were the drinks. We drank plenty of beautiful fresh ginger teas and enjoyed many meals cooked at Lagom; all were wonderful.
