I visited close to my friends. The room was not cleaned during the visit, meaning I had to make my own bed and found the wardrobe smelling of dirt. No coffee was supplied in a dirty container, so I had to boil a kettle to shave. There was no hot water in the sink and it was very noisy.

The view from the room was amazing and the room itself was nice and clean, but there was no food available and apparently no chef for a long time. I didn’t find any coffee or milk in the room, though I managed to get some from the bar staff. The TV had no remote.

The place was very peaceful with amazing views, yet the plumbing in the bathroom was very smelly. The TV remote was missing, although I could change channels manually. The kitchen was closed during our stay, so we had to eat elsewhere each day.

the staff in the bar were honest when they said the toilet had a leak and when I mentioned how bad it was on the second day, they gave me a load of new towels to wrap around the toilet. I can't say I liked this but I feel I need to say something. positive. While the room appeared to be clean this was quickly overridden by the ingrained smell of the bedding and pillows. They were unusable as they smelled so bad. I ended having to borrow a pillow and sheet from a family member who lived near by. The leaking toilet was more than a little leak. When we arrived there was a towel around the base of the toilet, this held back the water for a while but during the first night the water from the leak spread into the hallway outside the bathroom. This has unsafe as the water made the tiles slippery. The room was meant to have tea and coffee facilities but when we arrived there was no kettle and only one sachet of coffee. I asked in the pub if there was meant to be a kettle and was told yes. I wasn't offered a kettle. I also mentioned that there was only one coffee sachet and was told that it was a kitchen matter. I should say the kitchen was closed and wasn't about to be open anytime soon. There was also no hairdryer. When I mentioned this to the lady in the pub she said I would have to ask for one. That wasn't helpful as the pub didn't open until after 10 am. When we booked the room we were told the pub had a restaurant. This was also mentioned in the email we received from the B&B/Pub 2 days before our arrival. When we arrived at the pub, the first thing staff said was - there was no food as the restaurant was closed. I appreciate the extreme temperature at the time was not the B&B's fault. When we arrived, they suggested keeping the door open along with the glass door which led onto 'the patio'. The patio was a narrow general path linking all the rooms, there were no chairs and hadn't been cleaned in some time. Cigarette buts filled the patio and there was a general stench. We did no feel comfortable keeping doors open while we slept, basically for security reasons. Thankfully I had a small portable fan with me

The room was very spacious and comfortable with lovely views out into the pub garden, making it a great location for our needs. A few things were disappointing, which were not huge but add up: a) no tea bags or milk in the room, b) no information about the Wi‑Fi because the laminated information was not there, c) no soap in the shower, d) the remote control for the TV was missing (and later staff said it had probably been stolen), and e) the walls were thin so we were disturbed by noisy neighbours.
