The location couldn't be better and the hotel itself looked nice, with food that hit the spot. The only let‑down was the shower – it didn’t look exactly like the photo, though it was still usable.

The hotel’s location was perfect, the staff were friendly and the rooms were clean, but the price was far too high for such an old building. Breakfast was just okay—nothing special.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Häuserl im Wald am Mitterberg and wholeheartedly recommend this place. From the moment we arrived we were greeted incredibly warmly and sincerely. The entire staff was friendly, attentive and helpful, making us feel instantly welcome and cared for. That genuine hospitality makes the stay special. The food was also not disappointing – it was simply excellent, everything tasted wonderful and was a real highlight. The property was impeccably clean and well maintained, showing a clear focus on quality and guest comfort. And then there is the beautiful location and stunning view! That alone makes a stay worthwhile. The combination of the dreamlike surroundings, the lovely house, the great food and the extremely friendly people is simply perfect. We were completely satisfied and felt very comfortable. Thanks to the whole team for a wonderful time! We will definitely return and are already looking forward to it. A clear recommendation!
“UNACCEPTABLE behaviour!!!!!”
The surrounding nature is lovely, but the room pictures were nothing like reality – think 1960s décor, a stale smell, and no screens, so mosquitoes were a nightly problem. Breakfast turned into a circus when the staff refused an omelette and even cut off the water dispenser, and we paid around €200 per room for a place that felt isolated. To top it off, checkout was pushed to 10 am despite a late check‑in, making a “one‑day” stay feel like 18 hours.
