The hotel is just a 20‑minute drive from Taoyuan Airport, offers a private garage, and the rooms are spotless, smoke‑free and look exactly like the photos; breakfast is simple but clean, and aside from a faint ticking sound on the ceiling at night the value is high and there’s no dated feel, making it great for families (there were many families and kids that day). The night shift staff (9:00‑11:00 pm) seemed to be in a bad mood and were quite harsh.

It’s a pet‑friendly gem with easy parking and far exceeded my expectations – the room was spacious, comfy, tidy and flooded with light, featuring tiled floors instead of the usual carpet or faux‑wood mats, which I loved. Breakfast wasn’t lavish, just simple, filling fare that won’t hurt you if you oversleep. Service varied: some staff were average, others warm, helpful and always polite. Driving in and out for shopping was a breeze, close to Taoyuan Arts Plaza and plenty of street parking, perfect for an evening stroll. However, it appears the property keeps a dog on site; I didn’t notice it at check‑in, let my pet out in the garage, and when I tried to leash my dog outside, a black dog barked aggressively without a leash, so I quickly retreated to the garage and closed the gate. Pet owners should be aware.

The bed was very comfortable and the TV huge, but the room smelled of smoke.

The second night’s room was passable, but the second bed (especially in the first night’s room) sank completely when you lay down, two glass‑door panels in the bathroom were loose, the air‑con ran loudly all night making sleep impossible, and the stairwell screen door lock was broken; the next day’s room was okay, yet the second bed still required effort to get up, even for a child.
