The view from the window is spectacular both day and night, and the bathtub overlooking the skyscrapers is a real treat. The room is large and beautiful, with luxurious textiles and a bed from which you never want to get up. The hotel isn’t brand‑new, but it’s wonderful. The staff are pleasant and speak excellent English, ready to help with any request, especially Andy. The breakfast is tasty and varied, with plenty of options for Europeans. The location is fantastic in the city centre, with a direct link to a shopping mall that has a grocery store and shops selling Chinese brands. It would have been nice to spend more time enjoying the pool and spa.

The location is good, but Guomao is too big and you need to use the WeChat micro‑app to navigate.
