The staff were friendly and the room was clean and spacious, giving a comfort level that matched a three‑star property. We had already stayed at other Flatter houses, but this place felt like a new home for us. The only downside was that the water in the on‑site pool was quite cold; it was barely tolerable for a quick swim but definitely too chilly for a longer soak.

The breakfast was disappointing, with only three slices of cheese and a few other items. The rooms were very dated, windows leaked, doors wouldn’t close properly, and the TV channels didn’t work. The beds sagged, and after paying a lot for two nights we left after just one.

The restaurant was nicely designed, and we had a room that seemed “renovated” compared to the others; breakfast was okay and the pool was really large. However, the hotel feels old‑fashioned with worn doors, keys with green tags, a dusty spotted carpet in the hallways, and a stale smell because there are no windows to open. The bathroom lacked an outlet near the mirror, some beds had wheels that weren’t fixed so they moved when turned, and the elevator seemed to jerk and had mechanical issues. The pool was fresh, but the loungers were not very clean.

The room was big and comfortable with a seat, and the balcony also had a seat. We missed having coffee and tea facilities in the room. The room was very quiet, and the neighbor was very sick, so we could follow everything. The entire building needs a solid renovation; paint was peeling everywhere, especially on the bathroom ceiling.
