“ROACH INFESTED”
From the start it felt like a roach motel: the room was infested, roaches outside the door and in the hallway, and we had to buy sprays and repellants. The room smelled like urine, the bedding, bathroom, towels, and even random hair strands were dirty. The window was cracked open, and it seemed nobody cleaned the room regularly. We used diatomaceous earth powder around the door, but management knocked on our door three times, claiming it shouldn’t be there and seeming upset that we were trying to eliminate the roaches. The sink drain was backed up, so dead roaches emerged when we ran water for five seconds. The door’s bottom seal was open, letting bugs in and letting us hear everything in the hallways. I woke up several times during the night just to kill roaches that crawled onto the bed and headboard. It was a horrible stay; I wouldn’t recommend it, but I stayed because I had no other options. The roach spray stayed next to me the whole time.
