“Odori di muffa e di immondizia”
The positive thing is the proximity to Teatro Massimo and all its amenities, but that’s where the perks end. The main issue was the intense, pungent mold smell that was impossible to get used to and kept me awake all night, which was a problem since the next day I had important work commitments and would have to drive all day until late evening. The problem wasn’t solvable even by opening the window because the room faces a narrow alley where all the restaurant waste is stored, which not only causes bad odors but also produces very loud noises until late at night. In short, a room that was literally uninhabitable. I reported the issue to the host, but his only response was that it hadn’t been there for a long time and he didn’t know what it was. I understand, but one should take responsibility when hosting tourists; otherwise, the bad conditions are not just your fault, but affect the whole area.
