Breakfast was excellent and the morning was very quiet. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. We’ve stayed here several times because our daughter lives nearby. This time we arrived on a Friday night and it was very quiet. Everything was good.

The room size and breakfast were good. During our stay there was an alumni conference, the shared areas were very busy, check‑in took too long, and the corridors were noisy.

The location was good and the place was clean. There was no complimentary tea or coffee in the room, and the room was hot‑dated with very few TV stations.

The bed linen and room were clean, and we paid for early check‑in which was ready on time. There were many options for breakfast and all the staff were friendly. The bathroom needed mould treatment around the tiles, the seals around the shower screen were leaking, and the extractor fan wasn’t working. The bed was hard and the hairdryer didn’t work. The music playing on site had a terrible bass and thudding that rattled the room (not an exaggeration!). I understand parties happen, but there was no need for heavy bass throughout the building – I didn’t sleep much. Breakfast was okay but a bit cold.
