“Mysigt hotell mitt i hjärtat alv Köpenhamn”
The breakfast was great. This old hotel has managed to keep a vibe that new hotels can’t match. I was ill during my stay and the staff could have gone further to help. There was only one toast option, which I ordered on one of the four days I stayed; the other days the staff said they had no ingredients. If they had been willing, they could have offered a slice of bread from breakfast. With a high fever and stomach issues for the first two nights, I felt helpless. The bar’s selection should be expanded to offer light options on site, and staff should be empowered to provide extra service when needed. (The staff were friendly, but I think the limitation was that they worked few shifts.) If the hotel’s service had been better—more helpful, offering to go to the pharmacy 20 m away, ensuring tea in the room, and generous drinks—that would have been priceless. The room was nice and clean, the bar was cozy, and the price was reasonable. Parking is available in the courtyard with a charging point that can be booked. I felt uneasy in traffic because the hotel is on a very busy street, so I spent 3000 DKK to stay in the Saga parking garage. The ceiling fan is a plus, perfect during rush hours when open windows can be a bit disruptive. I know the hotel has balcony rooms and two very cool caravans in the courtyard that can be rented. The rooms are sound‑insulated and I wasn’t disturbed by neighbors. This hotel suits both young and old with proximity to everything. Management obviously has a responsibility for staff, and they could adopt a plan to provide extra good service when a guest becomes seriously ill.
