The location, staff, and rooms were fantastic—10 out of 10. For €200/night I expected some in‑room amenities: no coffee pod or maker, no complimentary water bottles, and breakfast was not included. I’m not usually a stickler about amenities, but when I stayed in Bayonne the night before for €158 I had a gourmet coffee maker with pods, water bottles in the room, and breakfast included. Only one towel was provided, so I had to reuse it in the morning after showering the previous evening. I also discovered that the highly rated on‑site restaurant had permanently closed this year.
