Check‑in was hassle‑free. The room is small but well equipped. There’s a guest lounge. A bus and train stop are right outside the door, and the ferry dock to Pillnitz is reachable on foot.

The spot is perfect for a short trip. With only one tram running, there’s hardly any noise. The entrance is just a minute from the inn and takes you straight into the old town. Parking beside the inn is available, but I didn’t need it. I explored the Bastei and Dresden itself and didn’t worry about transport because the network is great. My room was small but just right for me. The bed and armchair were very comfortable, and everything was clean. There was a self‑service kitchen, but I expected a stove with an oven. I don’t recognize most of the appliances there, and it’s possible there’s something like an oven, but I didn’t see or understand it. There were definitely no stove plates, so I couldn’t boil the ready‑made food. Otherwise everything was great.

I liked the idea of the breakfast menu. Sandra whipped up a tasty breakfast that was a real treat, especially the morning greeting on the always soft-boiled egg. Even though she handled everything alone, she was always friendly and relaxed, which was fun. Thanks a lot!!! My bed felt too soft, and the pillow was useless. It was very, very warm during my stay, so I would have appreciated insect screens on the windows; otherwise I couldn’t open the windows wide at night.
