I liked the homely vibe, the location, and the price. My room was spacious, the full kitchen was great, and meeting other travelers was truly enjoyable. But my room was the honeymoon suite, the wood floor needs serious repairs, I think I got sick from mites or mold in the room, and the bed was hard and not plush at all.

Breakfast wasn’t included. The bathroom was tiny, and when I handed over my ID I wasn’t given the senior discount that should have been applied immediately; that’s normal in Panama and the staff should have offered it. The ad said payment wouldn’t be required until check‑in, but they later said it was because I booked through Booking, even though their policy states it must be cancelled in advance.
