The place has a distinctive, well‑kept atmosphere, the Moroccan dishes we ate were delicious, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was large and well equipped.

Everyone was very helpful, and Roger and Hassain were fantastic in every way; the food, beer, wine, and swimming pool were all great.

The hotel sits right in the middle of Tinghir inside a historic Kasbah, with African art hanging and standing everywhere and rooms featuring wooden doors and small windows that give a sense of past living; the décor is also rather original. In summer there is a private pool in the courtyard, dinner can be had in the on‑site restaurant, and parking is available in the garage directly opposite. The shower could have been cleaned better to remove the lime deposits.

We booked this last minute because all the roads to the Sahara were blocked; the staff were very friendly and the evening meal was good, and the outdoor area around the pool was nice for breakfast, but the bed was very hard.
