“Beautiful view but older place that needs some loving care.”

We stayed in a king‑suite with a view, and the balcony with two chairs was nice. The room had a fireplace, TV, table with two chairs, games, dishwasher, refrigerator, and sink – all the basics I expected. Rockaway Beach is a cute little town with a great beach. The room was mostly clean, but the repairs were done poorly; the bathtub bottom was very slippery and needed a mat to prevent falls. The price felt a bit high considering how old and worn everything was. It might be suitable for a family because there’s a pool, but we probably won’t return.

After the peak summer season in mid‑September, the weather was cool but not cold, and the place was less crowded. The beachfront view rooms were very nice, and the kitchen dishes and sink area were clean. Prices were lower than in mid‑summer, but higher than last winter, as expected. If you plan to cook, bring food from a larger town with better selection and bring your own can‑opener.

The ocean view was great, but the family room felt a bit dated; the carpet was sticky and dirty, so when my kids walked barefoot, their feet got dirty and turned black.
