Ayara Kamala Resort & Spa - SHA Extra Plus

“Friendly staff. Relaxing stay . Poor value for money”

The friendly staff at breakfast and in the restaurant were great, and the pleasant driver Park took us into and back from Kamala. The resort was tired and in need of renovation; it was only partially open due to low occupancy. The grand pool villa was an apartment above two others up a steep drive and then 28 steps. The mattress was stained and dirty and needs replacement. The floors were slippery and dangerous, and the fake grass was sticky.

“Pleasant Stay with Room for Improvement”

The service and hospitality were excellent, the food options were diverse, and the spa was very good, making the stay overall pleasant and enjoyable. However, the Wi‑Fi was weak and kept cutting out, the room felt basic and less modern than I’d hoped, and the bathroom’s heavy use of glass and an open ceiling into the bedroom left little privacy and poor sound insulation. I asked for an upgrade to a higher‑category room, but it was denied even though the resort seemed to have many empty rooms; that lack of flexibility was a bit disappointing.

“An unforgettable stay with breathtaking views, exceptional service, and truly wonderful staff—especially Jaew and Park!”

Our stay at Ayara Kamala Resort & Spa was truly exceptional and exceeded all our expectations. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, very clean, and offers breathtaking views. The service was outstanding, and every member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. A very special thank you to Jaew, who assisted us through WhatsApp throughout our stay. She was incredibly kind, attentive, professional, and always quick to help us with every request. She arranged our activities and transportation perfectly and made our entire holiday smooth and stress-free. We would also like to sincerely thank our driver, Park. He was extremely polite, friendly, punctual, and helpful, and we always felt safe and comfortable with him. Jaew and Park made our experience even more memorable. Their exceptional hospitality is one of the main reasons we would happily return to this wonderful resort. There was absolutely nothing we disliked about our stay. Everything was wonderful, and the service exceeded our expectations. We had a perfect experience from beginning to end

The hotel is quiet with private pools overlooking the sea, and there’s a shuttle from the room to anywhere you need and back. Dinner and breakfast are excellent. Nothing to add.
