“I like that I had to walk up and down and this was one of the most memorable activities in Gonio”

We made our own breakfast, and the owner’s brother runs a café that serves breakfast for 15 lari per person—delicious! It’s a perfect quiet spot for work; as a researcher I spent each day on the terrace with coffee, focusing on my paper. The views are amazing, seeing the Black Sea and the mountains, and the sea breeze is refreshing while the hills get hot. The host and hostess were attentive and kind. By the way, check out Goni beach—clean and warm! Initially I didn’t like that Goni beach was a bit far, but I got used to it after a sporty walk up and down the hilly road.

“Cold stream near the tangerine garden in front of you”

The tangerine grove and mountain stream right outside the house were amazing; I even got invited to pick fruit in autumn. I relaxed on the terrace and chatted with the owners, who were incredibly welcoming and often offered breakfast, coffee, or anything else I wanted. The shower was clean, the rooms were spacious, and the AC worked fine. The terrace view was beautiful. It’s a bit far from the beach, but I’d rather listen to the stream than the beach noise. If you’re up for it, you can hike to the Gonio Cross in 25 minutes. Thanks, everyone! I’ll return :D

The guest house sits in a lovely quiet spot, a 12‑15 minute walk from the beach. From the window and terrace you get a wonderful view of the village. The house is on a hill, so you have to climb a steep slope, but that wasn’t a problem for me. The room consists of a hallway‑kitchen and a bedroom, and there’s plenty of space (though I think four people might feel a bit cramped). The kitchen has dishes and cleaning supplies. The hosts are very hospitable, respond immediately to any request, and try to solve any issue. The only downside is that if you come in winter, the room will feel a bit cold because the AC doesn’t heat the two rooms. A heater can solve that, and strong cold in Batumi and the surrounding area is rare and brief. Overall, I think it’s a great price‑quality option.

We stayed after a long drive, and the welcoming hosts received us wonderfully; the room had no complaints, it was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed, so we plan to return in the summer.
