Hotel Helena isn’t exactly in the center of Rokytnice, but walking is doable; it’s probably better suited for a winter getaway near the lifts. The distance to the town was a drawback, and on Thursday almost everyone was closed for a holiday (the hotel can’t control that, but there was something tasty to eat).

The location is great, the service is pleasant and helpful, and everything is clean and tidy. The room equipment is standard. Breakfast is “classic”: cold cuts, cheese, yogurts, jams, cereals, milk, and hot items like sausages boiled or fried. The restaurant serves Czech cuisine. However, the room equipment needs updating: the shower head couldn’t be attached to the holder and the water kept dripping even after rinsing.

The rooms met all our expectations; the food was amazing—breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. All staff were very kind, cheerful, and helpful. We spent four days in a very nice place. Thank you and best regards.
