“Mauvais”
The terrace offered a beautiful view and the parking was close by. The house is only available for rent in summer, the outdoor kitchen was not mentioned in the listing, the bathroom is old with lead on the ceiling, mold on the tile joints, and the accommodation should not be rented in winter or in the rain. We ended up with a flooded room and a completely unusable outdoor kitchen.
“Genuine traditional home in the historic centre of Tejeda with good views.”
We loved the view from the north-facing terrace, especially watching the sunset colours on the mountains opposite. Also the location, right in the historic centre of Tejeda. There were plenty of free public car parks within 5 minutes walk, with the nearest only 1 minute walk away. It's the real traditional house experience, so the kitchen is slightly separate to the rest of the house (just 2 feet away, but still separate) and the bathroom is adequate, but not modern. It's charming and has everything you need, just don't expect a power shower!
“Estancia con historia.”
The house’s charm is delightful. A historic, enchanting home, fully equipped for a long stay, relaxation, reading time, and connecting with nature. The location is unbeatable. Highly recommended.
“Ein schönes Haus für den Sommer”
The atmosphere was nice; an old Canarian house with appropriate furnishings and décor. The location inside Tejeda is great, quiet, and very central. At arrival the house was cold and had a musty smell. After a few days the heating finally warmed the apartment, but the drain smell in the bathroom persisted. The kitchen drain was leaking. The kitchen was outside the apartment, accessible via the terrace, which is fine in summer but unpleasant in March. The north-facing terrace receives almost no sun at this time of year. The bathroom, kitchen, and upper bedroom have no heating or air conditioning, and the bathroom lacks a window for ventilation.
“I cannot fault this place! Absolutely brilliant!”
One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. A spotless traditional Canarian house, fully equipped, full of charm, quirkiness, and love. The terrace view is breathtaking. Carlos, the host, was friendly and helpful. Brilliant central location, down a very quiet street, with a small supermarket nearby. Perfect for hiking, with well‑marked paths at your doorstep. Be aware you’re staying at roughly the same height as Snowdon, so the walking can be tough and steep (at least for Brits!).
